Judge Alvin Valkenheiser was played by Dan Aykroyd, shown here in full prosthetic makeup.  Because Dan was also directing the film, the makeup which would normally require 3 1/2 to 4 hours to complete, had to be designed to be applied in 2 hours.  Dan also played another character in the film that was even heavier makeup than the Judge. (See Special Costume section)
